You need luck to win in Vegas. Or at least that’s true in our world’s Vegas. In the dystopian wasteland of Fallout you need more than just good fortune to come out on top there. In New Vegas, it also helps to have a violent Ghoul as your ally along with a whole lot of weapons. Fortunately for former Vault Dweller Lucy MacLean, she has both in Prime Video’s new trailer for Fallout season 2. Not that anyone living in that notorious city should feel lucky. A war is coming.

Fallout‘s first year ended with Lucy and former actor-turned-ghoul Cooper Howard following Lucy’s dad Hank to the notorious and deadly New Vegas. Now the show’s second season is going to “take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas.” As the Fallout season two trailer reveals to us, that journey is going to include zombie Elvis impersonators (yes, The Kings are now Ghouls), a whole lot of terrible monsters, and multiple powerful factions ready for war. Among other things, this season two trailer promises us that we will finally see Fallout‘s Deathclaws in action, and, yikes, we wouldn’t want to meet them in a fight.

But that doesn’t mean we won’t have plenty of laughs, too. Like season one, this Fallout season two trailer promises just as much heart and humor as it does killer creatures and firearms.
Season two will see the return of stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets) and Walton Goggins (The Righteous Gemstones). Aaron Moten (Father Stu), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), and Frances Turner (The Boys) are also back. This year, Justin Theroux (The Leftovers) will join the series. He’s playing one of the video game franchise’s most notorious characters, Mr. Robert House. Macaulay Culkin is also getting in on the wasteland fun with a recurring role. As is Kumail Nanjiani, who like Culkin, briefly appears in this Fallout season two trailer.

Fallout comes from executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy and Athena Wickham. Showrunners and show creators Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner also serve as executive producers. What kind of dice will they roll when their show returns? We’ll start finding out when Fallout season two debuts at Prime Video on December 17, 2025. In the meantime, this Fallout season two trailer has given us a lot to chew over.
