Google’s Pixel Watch 5 Shows Up in Google Health Kellen | amznusa.com

So we are clear here – the Pixel Watch 5 has not been announced yet by Google. Why can you set one up in Google Health already? We don’t know, but the new Google watch started showing up today as an available device.

First spotted over at reddit, we’ve been able to confirm that if you go to setup a new device connection in Google Health, just like we did with the new Fitbit Air, the “Google Pixel Watch 5” is the top choice in the list of devices.

Of course, none of us can actually setup a Pixel Watch 5 because we don’t have one yet. Also, the image that the Google Health app is using is of the Pixel Watch 4. Google has not really told us anything new here, this is just a tiny slip-up to show that the Pixel Watch 5 is indeed on the way.

Pixel Watch 5: A quick recap

We do know quite a bit about the Pixel Watch 5, though. We believe we know pricing, that it’ll have a very similar design to the Pixel Watch 4, and that it is likely to run the exact same Snapdragon SW5100 chip from last year’s model, not the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chip that Samsung put in the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. There may be at least one upgrade in RAM to 3GB.

Once Google makes the Pixel Watch 5 official on August 12, we’ll be lined up to get one. Last year’s Pixel Watch 4 was a big jump forward for the platform and we’re sort of expecting more improvements this time around, even if the early story hasn’t suggested as much. With Google Health now official, this will be a major moment to showcase all that Google Health is up to.
