Apple has largely stopped making users join a waitlist to access its Siri AI assistant. According to an updated Apple support document, Siri AI “will begin to download automatically” once users opt in, but the waitlist is now reserved “during time of high demand,” and wait times can vary.
The document previously said that enabling the assistant “will add you to a waitlist,” as noted by 9to5Mac. The document was updated on November 2, likely following two months of Apple testing server load. Released in September, Siri AI remains in beta across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro.
