Alienware 34-inch OLED gaming monitor for $650

Amazon Prime Day is over, but if you’re hunting for an OLED gaming monitor deal, I just found you some good eatin’. Alienware’s latest 34-inch ultrawide OLED is on a steep discount at Amazon, down to $649.99. Just go through checkout and you’ll see the price drop from $800.

The Alienware AW3425DW is a gently upgraded version of Dell’s super-popular OLED series, giving them a new QD-OLED panel with sharper text and a faster 240Hz refresh rate. That’s fast enough to be competitive in online shooters for most humans. With the semi-standard 3440×1440 resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio, it’s a great step up from a 27-inch QHD model. For the full details, check out PCWorld’s review.

You don’t get a lot of extras with this design — DisplayPort, two HDMI, and two USB charging ports, one of which is USB-C at 15 watts. So this isn’t a great companion to a gaming laptop, or really any laptop if you don’t have a dock already. But for a desktop PC gamer who wants a huge visual boost in speed and clarity, this is about as cheap as it gets from a name brand with a warranty you can trust.

I don’t know how long Amazon will keep this promotion going, and other retailers don’t seem to be matching it. If you want to get in on the deal, I’d suggest you hurry.
