Throne And Liberty is one of those games that is really great to play with friends, leveling up together and making inroads into the plethora of quests that lie in wait.
As you do progress, both you and your friends will likely be acquiring a bunch of loot and at times, wish you could swap.
Here, we’ll reveal if you can trade with friends in Throne And Liberty, allowing you to grab some gear off those you trust.
Trading with friends in Throne And Liberty explained
The short answer to if you can trade with friends is technically yes but there are some real caveats to this.
Throne And Liberty uses an Auction House as its trading system, allowing players to list their items up for sale and prospective buyers to bid on them.
The Auction House is only unlocked at level 40 and utilizes the premium currency Lucent as the method of purchase.
So, what you can do is list your items in the Auction House, your friends can buy them, and vice versa.
What you cannot do however is just walk up to your friends in-game and click a ‘trade’ button to swap items with one another.
To prevent other players from buying your gear before your friends do, we suggest conversing with your squad and letting them know when you’re listing and at the exact price, hopefully allowing them to get your gear.
The main reason why the Auction House mechanic is in place instead of direct trading is to keep the in-game currency actually worth something rather than it being influenced by players essentially ‘gaming’ the system.
While unfortunate you can’t directly just go up and trade with everyone you meet, you can still kind of get around it using the Auction House.
