Rockstar suddenly announces Red Dead Redemption coming to a PC near you this month, here’s what we know Paul McNally | amznusa.com

It’s been a badly kept secret for a while that the original Red Dead Redemption would be heading to PC at some point but now Rockstar has just only gone and announced a date as well as dropped a trailer for what is going to be one of the best-selling games of the year on the format.

In a blog post Rockstar said, “For the first time in its storied legacy, John Marston’s beloved journey can be experienced on PC in stunning, new detail, with both Red Dead Redemption and its iconic zombie-horror companion story, Undead Nightmare, arriving to PC on October 29.

In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version adds PC-specific enhancements including native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality.”

So we are getting both RDR and zombies in time for Halloween too. More information is expected later this week on how you can pre-purchase the game on the Rockstar Store, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.

This new PC version (the game has long since existed on Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch) will have support for Rockstar Store, Steam, or the Epic Games Store.

So that’s just three weeks today then. In the meantime to pass some of the time between now and then you can watch the trailer above to see how it could be that the PC is finally getting the definitive version of this classic game as we get head to go back to the Wild, Wild West as John Marston and his trusty collection of womenfolk.

The 14-year-old epic is estimated to have sold over 23 million copies on its available formats and PC gamers have long clamored for its release on the format. They will be hoping it won’t take Rockstar quite as long to getting round to giving them Grand Theft Auto 6
