Ryan Coogler’s X-Files reboot series is ready to see what truth is out there as its pilot heads to Hulu. According to Deadline, Danielle Deadwyler will star in the series as one of two highly decorated FBI agents who get an assignment to a long-shuttered division that explores inexplicable phenomena. She recently starred in The Woman in the Yard.
The Copenhagen Test’s Jennifer Yale will be the showrunner as well as an executive producer. Right now, it is not clear who will play the show’s other agent. But, if they are looking for a fresh face, please send me an email, Mr. Coogler. This project has already been three years in the making since its announcement from The X-Files creator Chris Carter back in 2023.

Carter will be involved with Ryan Coogler’s X-Files reboot at Hulu as an executive producer alongside Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler. As Ryan Coogler always does, he’s keeping frequent collaborators close with Sinners casting director Francine Maisler also casting this series. Hopefully that casting includes the return of Gillian Anderson in some capacity. We cannot wait to see this project bring the unexplained back to our TV screens.
