And that’s the (very good) idea that The Vampire Lestat/Interview with the Vampire‘s Assad Zaman should play Nightcrawler in the MCU’s X-Men movie. The casting of Assad Zaman as Nightcrawler in the MCU’s X-Men makes a lot of sense to us. After all, Nightcrawler is known for his quirky sense of humor, tragic past, complex relationship with religion and family, sensitivity, yellow eyes, and fluffy hair—all things Zaman has more than demonstrated himself capable of bringing to our screens in the finest of fashions. Zaman is also just a tremendous actor, full stop, and he has a background in theater, which makes perfect sense when it comes to Nightcrawler’s background of live performing. And, we mean, we feel like all of this Assad Zaman as Nightcrawler fan art that talented denizens of the internet have created really underscores the point.
Fans of Assad Zaman as the MCU’s Nightcrawler have even taken things to a live-action place, so any Marvel execs out there can really SEE the vision. (And hey, doesn’t this excited fan base make a good case for the casting all on its own?)
