Windows 11 just got a bunch of new features with March’s update  | amznusa.com

Microsoft has begun rolling out KB5079473, a new update that adds a number of features to Windows 11.

We’ve already highlighted some of these new features back when we looked at the preview of this update, which included features like the new Sysmon security tool, improvements to Windows Backup, Quick Machine Recovery (QMR), and the new “built-in” speedtest.

Other features include the ability to use WebP image files as desktop backgrounds and support for Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) on Arm-based computers.

According to Windows Latest, we’re also being treated to various bug fixes and system improvements, such as Windows Update now being faster at loading new content as well as File Explorer’s search function being more reliable when searching This PC or multiple drives.

Update KB5079473 should automatically download and install on your system via Windows Update, but if it doesn’t, you can get it via the Microsoft Update Catalog.
