Google is fully embracing the word “Intelligence” for Android 17 and its Pixel phones, it seems. We got our first taste of the word through Gemini Intelligence on the Pixel 11 series, but there are other recent uses as well. There’s “Android System Intelligence” and “Device Intelligence,” plus a new one that showed up today.
As a part of the Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 update, Google has introduced “Notification Intelligence.”
This isn’t necessarily a new feature, but more of a grouping of previous notification settings that Google has decided need their own branding.
Within this new “Notification Intelligence” section, you’ll now find Notification Summaries, the Notification Organizer, and Notification Cooldown. You can tap on each to toggle on or off and adjust other options. Again, all of these have been around, they just now have their own specific location within settings.

We’ll be curious to see if Google has other plans for Notification Intelligence and wants this section for upcoming features.
